Guidance for
Students and Parents
At Drayton Manor High School, we believe that personal development is at the heart of a well-rounded education. Beyond academics, we are committed to nurturing our students' ambition, character, and civic virtue through a wide range of extracurricular activities, enrichment opportunities, and leadership experiences.
Our Personal Development Passport, launching in September 2024, is a key initiative designed to encourage and recognize student involvement in the wider life of the school. This passport allows students to log their participation in various activities, including sports, music, clubs, guest speaker events, school trips, and career-related opportunities, using the user-friendly Unifrog platform.
How It Works
Students create and maintain a digital profile on Unifrog, where they can “tag” their extracurricular involvement and track their personal growth. This system not only provides a comprehensive record of each student’s journey but also highlights areas where they can further engage. Form tutors regularly review these profiles, offering guidance and support to ensure every student benefits from the full spectrum of opportunities available.
Drayton Manor Awards
To recognise and celebrate student achievements, the Personal Development Passport is linked to our award system. Students can earn awards at four levels - Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Purple - across three core values: Ambition, Character, and Civic Virtue. Awards are presented at termly celebrations, acknowledging students’ dedication and fostering a culture of active participation.
Why It Matters
The Personal Development Passport empowers students to build valuable life skills, boost their confidence, and create a well-rounded profile that will support future university or career applications. It encourages them to step beyond the classroom, develop their interests, and contribute to our vibrant school community.
At Drayton Manor, personal development isn’t just an addition to education - it’s an essential part of preparing students for a successful future.
Overview
Unifrog is a dynamic online platform that helps students keep track of their achievements, extracurricular activities, and career aspirations. It serves as a digital companion to the Personal Development Passport, providing students with a user-friendly way to document their experiences.
