Congratulations to all our students who were nominated in our Rewards Bulletin this week. This has been published on Show My Homework.

Faculty Challenges

Thank you to everyone who took part in our Music, PE and Language challenges. The winners will be announced in the Rewards Bulletin which will be published on Show My Homework.

Thank you for all the amazing submissions we've had so far. You are an incredibly talented bunch!

Each week we will post two songs for you to choose from. All you have to do if film yourself performing the song of your choice and we will pick the winners!

But don’t worry, you don’t just have to sing along! You can play an instrument if you would prefer, or you can make up your own lyrics to the tune of the song. So get creative!

There are three categories which you can win

Best Vocal Performance

Best Overall Performance

Most Original Performance

Once you’re done, send the video to Mr Glinn’s email along with your full name and tutor group by the end of Wednesday 3 June.

Good luck!

Week 3

Shotgun by George Ezra

Jump by Kris Kross

As next week is half-term, you can use the extra time to write an original song. It can be in any style, any genre and it can be about anything you want, so get creative!

Hi Drayton Manor community!

Thank you to everyone who completed the target shooting challenge!

Here is your next one - How many times can you pass a ball against a wall whilst holding a plank in 30 seconds?

You will need a ball that can fit easily in your hand, and a smooth wall to throw against.

How to perform the plank pass:

  • 1. Start in a high plank position - like the top of a push up - a straight line from your head to your heels. Facing the wall 50cm away.
  • 2. On “GO”, take the ball and roll/throw it towards the wall. Strong enough to get it to bounce off the wall and roll back to you.
  • 3. Once the ball has returned, take it with your other hand and roll/throw it towards the wall again.
  • 4. Repeat this passing against the wall as fast as you can for 30 seconds.
  • 5. Count the number of times you pass the ball against the wall.

We will be judging you on the quality of the plank, and the number of passes made in the time.

Remember to choose the level for your challenge:

    •    Level 1 - 30 seconds

    •    Level 2 - 45 seconds

    •    Level 3 - 60 seconds

You need to record a video of yourself completing the challenge, then email it to along with your full name, tutor group and which level of the challenge you attempted.
