The Great Draytonian Challenge

Faculty Challenges

Thank you to everyone who took part in our Music, PE and Language challenges. The winners will be announced in the Rewards Bulletin which will be published on Show My Homework.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to every student who submitted a video to our challenge over the last 8 weeks. You are all incredibly talented and should be extremely proud of yourselves!

For our last challenge of the term, you can do either of the songs below OR you can choose any song you would like to perform.

All you have to do is film yourself performing the song of your choice and we will pick the winners!

But don’t worry, you don’t just have to sing along! You can play an instrument if you would prefer, or you can make up your own lyrics to the tune of the song. So get creative!

There are three categories which you can win:

· Best Vocal Performance

· Best Overall Performance

· Most Original Performance

Once you’re done, send the video to Mr Glinn’s email along with your full name and tutor group by the end of Wednesday 15 July.

Good luck!

Scavenger Challenge

Hi everyone! A big thank you to those who took part in the stay-at-home Sports Day!

Here is your final challenge - how quickly can you complete the Scavenger challenge? Using 4 different coloured cones/markers, create the corners of a 4 metres by 4 metres square. You will also need some other items to match each colour of your square - 5 items per colour. Scatter these around the inside of the square.

How to perform the Scavenger challenge:

Start inside your square in an athletic position.

On “GO”, move as quickly as you can to pick up the items and place them into the corner of the matching colour.

You can only hold 2 items at the same time.

Record the amount of time it takes to clear the square.

This challenge is testing your agility.

Choose the level for your challenge:

Level 1 - 4 items of each colour

Level 2 - 5 items of each colour

Level 3 - Bear crawl position, 4 items of each colour

Record a video of yourself completing the challenge, then email it to along with your full name, tutor group, and challenge level.

Entries due by Thursday morning. If you want to have a go at any of the PE challenges again, visit our YouTube channel - Drayton Manor PE for all the videos.

Students are invited to design a postcard which we will award for good work in Languages next year. The postcard should include some words in the language that they study and could include images linked to a country where that language is spoken.

Please send your design by the lunchtime on Thursday 16 July to Ms Greenwood: Please indicate your name and your tutor group. Please remember that you should be entering for the language that you study at school.

Bonne chance! Viel Glück! ¡Buena suerte! bonam fortūnam!
